These terms cover your use of The Best Person, run by [Company legal name]. By verifying your number you agree to them, and to our privacy policy and SMS terms.

What you can do

Name up to three people you actually know, once per circle, and tell us a few words about why. Start circles for groups you belong to and share their links.

What you agree not to do

• Enter a number that isn’t the named person’s own, or anyone’s number without a good reason to share it.
• Use The Best Person to harass, embarrass, spam or impersonate anyone.
• Create fake ballots, use numbers you don’t control, or try to get around our limits.
• Name yourself, or use circles to rank people cruelly.

We may remove notes, ballots or circles that break these rules, and block numbers that abuse the service.

What you send

Your name and the words you pick are shown to the people you name. You’re responsible for what you send. Please be kind; that’s the point.

No guarantees

The Best Person is provided as is. We try hard to deliver every note, but texts can be delayed or blocked by carriers, and we can’t promise the service will always be available. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Changes

If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we’ll update this page and the date above.
